DELL APCC Long Service Award Annual Dinner

Stupid September 11th, 2008

DELL APCC Penang is the only company (which I came to know) where they don’t organize annual dinner for their staff, there haven’t been any dinner or activity to gather all the DELL APCC’s staff under one roof since year 2000. It is rather pathetic and sad to hear that for a company of such magnitude (listed in NASDAQ:DELL) with an annual revenue of USD64.15 billion, they can’t even afford to organize an annual dinner for their staff. Hello, u call this a MNC (multi national corporation) ? They are doing whatever it takes to cut costs, left and right, up and down, they even downgrate the quality of the toilet paper used (from 2 ply to 1 ply).

But, DELL APCC Penang do organize annual dinner for their employees who have worked 5yrs and 10yrs, which means only those who are on their 5th and 10th years of service are invited to attend the “annual dinner”. The rest of the staff are not allowed to participate.

Letter from DELL APCC Human Resource Dept.

DELL APCC Penang will not observe 26th August 2008 as public holiday

Stupid August 25th, 2008

DELL APCC Penang will not observe 26th August 2008 as public holiday, though it has been announced by Lim Guan Eng (Penang’s Chief Minister) to be a public holiday for Penang state.

Another reason why you should not consider DELL APCC Penang as your ideal workplace -

To:Dell Malaysia Team
From:CK Boey

Please be advised that August 26th is a NORMAL working day for Dell, Penang. However employees who are Registered Voters in the Permatang Pauh By election will be given the day off to cast their votes.

Thank You

This is an employee exploitation by MNC (multi national corporate) factory on its employees, after DELL APCC has abolish the ESPP (employee staff purchase) and only grant stock option to those in Director level, no more OT claim (it’s very tough to get approval), then what is left ? not to mention the shitty increment 2-3%.

The computer industry is dead, it’s no longer growing and margin is pittyful, DELL will just be another Wal-Mart in the making, haven’t heard enough of how Wal-Mart exploiting their employees ? so if given a choice, go find other greener pasture, but if no body want you, then just stuck in DELL APCC and sell insurance, direct selling, unit trusts to supplement your income, heard that DELL APCC2 will outsource their manufacturing plant to third party by next year, will it means more layoffs is on the way ?

Shellcard’s Services in Malaysia is the worst !

Stupid July 11th, 2008

Shellcard’s Services is the worst u can ever get. Hotline (03-74948181) can never be called through, and they don’t care to call you back as promise. They just don’t care !

So by any chance, if u can, don’t consider Shellcard, might as well tried ExxonMobil’s or other fleetcard services.
